My Thoughts:

So, I tested this curling iron around the same time that I had tested out my Kiss InstaWave and so that might have skewed my perceptions of this curling iron.

The Good:

First, I really like the price tag on this curling iron.  At $20, even a poor chick like myself can easily afford to purchase this!  I like the "Idea" of the clip in which you clip the end of your hair, however, I found it a little difficult to manage.  It also took a pretty good amount of time to heat-up, but not terribly long.  It also did a pretty good job at curling my hair especially when you consider the low price tag on it!

I also liked the spiral guide, it really was a neat and innovative approach to a curling iron that I've never before seen.

The NOT so Good..

Ok, there isn't a WHOLE lot that I didn't like about this.  However, as I've mentioned before the clip I struggled with constantly.  I just couldn't quite get the hang of it.  I enjoyed the guide, however, it can be cumbersome for someone with longer hair.  I also didn't feel as if it got quite as hot as other curling irons and it took a lot longer to heat up.

If you can push a button, you can curl your hair!  What?  Don't believe me, I promise it's true.  Even if you are beauty challenged or hair challenged, you can have beautiful curls with the Kiss InstaWave.

 Using the Kiss InstaWave Curler:

So, I decided to get my new Kiss InstaWave Curler out for our family gathering this Thanksgiving!  What a better way to test it out then a special holiday occassion!

I have to say, this thing truly is easy to use and delivers gorgeous curls!  What's more amazing is watching this thing spin and grab up my hair slowly spinning it around and knowing that it's about to deliver insane curls, everytime!  I still have a bit of trouble learning the best way to get to the back of my hair, but that's not the device, but a USER issue.  It was much easier using this on the back of my head, then previous curling irons I've seen!

How to Use the Kiss InstaWave:

• Hold the InstaWave vertical to your head
• Use the arrow buttons (Curl Dial) to spin your direction of choice
• Hold 5-10 seconds (I have extremely fine hair, so I use it like 15 seconds)
• Pull down vertically (I also use the opposite Curl Dial to help release my hair

It truly is as easy as that...

TIP:  Alternate the Curl Dial between left and right to deliver more natural curls!

TIP:  I suggest starting towards the top of your hair so that it catches more hair.

Chamberlain's: Can you HandleBar Dry Oil "Wisdom"

What it is:

Chamberlain's Can you HandleBar is a dry oil for men (or women, I guess) with facial hair.  It works to restore the natural oil, helping to liven up and resfresh facial hair!

My Thoughts:

I know this is going to come as a surprise, but I , myself didn't test this out....  I mean, I do have some unsightly pesky facial hair (come on women, YOU KNOW what I'm talking about!!!)...  However, it's not enough to warrant an oil....

I actually sought this product for my father!  He has one of those "handle bar" type mustaches (when I was a kid making my Christmas wish list, every year one of the items that I would ask for was him to shave it off...  that and a step mom... Never got either)...  So, I knew this would be a great gift for him!

It has like a minty type scent to it.  However, it's not such a strong scent that it knocks you down.  It's just a nice light scent for men to enjoy!  The balm itself feels similar to other balms I've tried... I received a pink balm in a Memebox and the texture reminds me a lot of that!  So, this would probably work well for women who have some dry patches that need to have a balm!

In the Details...

I'm sure if you actually read my reviews you probably feel as if I sound like a broke record going on and on about packaging...  But, I'm a girl and so I like pretty things..  To me, if you have a cute package then your half way there to success... You can have the BEST product in the world, but if it's not visually appealing I don't think you'll find much success!

These folks got it right!  Their packaging is remarkable!  I LOVE it!  They know who they are, they know their target audience and they have definitely played up to those in their packaging!  

This is an adorable package and makes it a PHENOM gift idea!  If you know a man who has facial hair, you NEED to get this for them!  They will love you for it!

So LADIES, if you have a father in law that's hard to buy for and he has facial hair HERE YOU GO!  DONE!  No more searching!  This is the perfect gift idea !!

So, you would just about have to have been living under a SOCIAL MEDIA rock to not have heard of Harvey Prince by now.  They are a Birchbox favorite.  They also are a social media darling...  They are a company that gets the whole social media aspect of growing a business and really seem to be a company that wants to give back to their "Fans".

Have you TRIED Hello???

If you are a Birchbox subscriber, chances are you have tried at LEAST one Harvey Prince item.  If your lucky, you've tried their Hello perfume!!  I believe it was just last month or so when I had their new Bath Gel and Lotion on my blog, and this time....  I'm incredibly blessed to be able to feature their Shampoo and Conditioner!!

Shampoo & Conditioner

So, as I've mentioned before, I've had the good fortune of trying now the WHOLE Harvey Prince Hello line.  And I have to say that the shampoo and conditioner DOES NOT disappoint!  It still has their signature scent stamped in the Shampoo and Conditioner!  

The Shampoo seemed to me to have a bit of a vanilla scent, maybe it was just my imagination...  But, it still smelled incredibly wonderful.  It was just the right mix of scent and NOT scent...  It definitely wasn't overpowering!  It's gentle enough of a scent to use it on a daily basis even when you might not want to be screaming HELLO for the world to smell...  Yet, it's got enough of a scent to be like a hint of scent with you for the rest of the day....  IF that makes any kind of sense......

It really lathered up really well!  I was nicely surprised by how nice of a lather it produced!  The conditioner also was really a nice conditioner!  I personally, cannot use much of conditioner unless I want to walk around looking like a Grease Monkey... Or worse....  I have extremely fine hair so I don't use conditioner on a daily basis.  However, I think this conditioner would actually work for me as long as I didn't get it near my roots...  I cannot put ANY condtioner near my roots!

Ageless Soap

First of al, let me say this soap is HUGE!  I could probably use it daily for three months and still have some soap leftover.  It's over two inches thick!! and about 3.5' long!!  It's a BIG BAR of soap!

Before I even opened the box, I could smell the Ageless scent seeping through the package...  It smells DIVINE!  I love this scent!  

The soap really works well as well!  It lathers up really nicely!!

I love all of InstaNatural's products.  However, this is one product that I personally had a hard time reviewing.  I have extremely oily hair, yet a dry flaky scalp.  So, I'm petrified of putting oil anywhere near my hair.

InstaNatural's hair mask is great for those who have dry and damaged hair.  It helps to restore shine, and also strengthens and protects hair.  

I did try the hair mask, and while I could tell a difference in the shine, it's just a product that I personally cannot use very often.  I will probably end up giving this to my mother who has extremely dry and brittle, coarse hair.  This would work wonders for someone who has coarse hair, or extremely dry hair.  However, for someone like me, it works well, but you just have to make sure not to let it get near your scalp OR if you do use it on your scalp, be prepared to rinse right away and don't leave it on for too long.

Ok, so this is one of my truly favorite products I've tried from InstaNatural.  When they approached me and allowed me to pick a product this was a no-brainer.  I had been eyeing this for quite some time and was ecstatic when I was able to get my hands on it.

Ok, so we all know that when you hit some magical age, our skin stops developing the good stuff it needs to remain young and vibrant!  Once again, let me reiterate by saying:  InstaNatral products are all natural!  So, you don't have to worry about harmful chemicals when you use their products.  You can feel confident knowing that these products are safe for your skin and body!                                                           So, one of the ingredients is:( From their Amazon Product Description) Plant Stem cells, this helps to prevent the premature aging of your skin!  Other ingredients:  Matrixl 3000, hyaluronic acid  these ingredients help to firm and tighten the skin around your eyes as well as moisturize your skin helping to "reduce" skin problems that occur when aging...

I absolutely LOVE this eye gel!  It also can be used for other areas that you may have "wrinkle" issues!  I truly can tell a difference using this eye gel, I swear to you I have hideous bags and dark circles or I DID have them under my eyes and yet, since using this gel the dark circles have truly all but disappeared!  It's remarkable at what a difference I can see since using this and a combination of other products!  This has a nice subtle scent to it that I truly love, I was told that it's just part of the natural ingredients that are inside the products!    My skin has never looked better since I began using these products.

I will be forever an InstaNatural fan!  I truly urge you, if you are in the market for skincare, to truly give them a try!  I have tried now, almost their entire line and haven't met a product yet that I didn't like.  I have started to turn down a lot of skincare products recently, but I will NEVER turn down the opportunity to work with InstaNatural!  I know when I am getting a product made by them, I'm getting something I will LOVE and actually USE!

I have extremely fine hair, it's also very long.  I, myself tried to use it, and it was able to give me a bit of a lift.  I think it would have performed a little better had I had some hair spray to use in addition to the paste, because honestly the weight of my hair I believe was pulling all the hard work down.  It did work better when I took a blow dryer to it and help to "freeze" it in place.  LOL It was so much fun doing this review, as it's been forever since I've actually "Styled" my hair for anything!

Since, it wasn't really doing what I wanted for my hair, I decided it was time to recruit my son and make him work for his wheaties.  I had him use the "paste" and once he did, you could definitely see how this product could perform magic.  Now, I'll be honest in our family, we just kinda wash and air dry our hair.  My son, unfortunately was blessed with hair like mine, super fine hair!

With the hair paste, you can easily "re-mold" it throughout the day.  The product description says that it has "stretchable fibers".  It's hard for more to compare it to another "hair gel or cream" since we don't use them very often.  I know that my son really was impressed with how it worked and plans to use this again!

If you are in the market for a good hair gel/ paste/ cream, I think this would be a great one to try.  It smells really nice and seems to have good hold.  Cody is definitely planning on using it again, probably around Halloween!  What fun that will be!  We, I'm sure can do some fun things with this stuff!
