A Little Behind The Brand:

So, I've never had the pleasure of trying Michael Todd Organics products prior to trying out this Soniclear system.  I still haven't been able to try their cleansers, etc.  So, I wanted to learn a little about who Michael Todd Organics were, so I decided to explore their site a little more.  Here's what I learned:

The MAIN ingredient used in Michael Todd products is: ALOE..

Why ALOE??  You'll find a lot of skincare products use a good bit of water and / or alcohol as a base for their products.  Water, they believe is a way of being "Cost effective" or cheap for other brands.  Put simply, adding water is a way to save money.  And then the use of alcohol, which we all pretty much know, can cause you to dry out, etc.  So, they use aloe because of it's healing properties and because of it's more than 75 ingredients that are: anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, as well as anti-viral.

They also use no parabens.  Ok, so I'm going to be real honset here.  I hear about NO PARABENS, NO DYES all of the time and even after researching it, I'm still a bit at a loss at what it actually is.  Parabens are effective as preserbatives in many types of formulas.  However, lately there has been an increase in the rise against parabens.  THE REASON??  Parabens have been found in breast cancer tumors, they have also have displayed a "slight mimic" to estrogen.  However, there have been no direct links between cancer and parabens.  

However, I guess this is one of those times where it's better to "be safe" than sorry!  

Soniclear System:

Ok, ok so I know I went off script for a minute there...  This system truly OH MY GOSH, I LOVE it!  Truly!  I could sit and just use this for thirty minutes.  It feels so wonderful on my face!  The only sad thing was, I use an oil based cleanser and so I had to find a good foaming cleanser to use with it, and I don't really have one that I LOVE or that foams up really well.  However, even without a foaming cleanser, I could use this!  It's like heaven on my face!  It feels like a facial massage that you don't ever want to end.

And I guess it's nice that it's cleansing it as well.  LOL Truly, I mean it feels so good that the fact that it's actually cleansing my skin was secondary to how wonderful this felt !  I am in love with this device!!!

I urge you, if you are in the market for a good cleansing system, I would definitely recommend this one.  And one of the great things about this, the "anti-microbial" part of this, means that all those icky germs that most brushes would get while sitting there after having gotten wet, this brush isn't going to do that, I guess it kinda kills the germs by itself (like an invisible zapper maybe???)....

I haven't yet tested out the body brush!  But, trust me I definitely will!  I didn't realize until I sat down to do this review that it was even a body brush (I am HORRIBLE at reading directions).  I am always going ninety miles a minute and so I really don't often take time to sit and really read things until I'm sitting down to work on it and then that's when I do my research.  So, I feel a bit silly having had it this whole time and not realized that it was a body brush!

I've tried many, many water bottles in the span of a very short time frame.  While, they all were nice, I'm going to tell you this Mira Brands bottle is a TOP NOTCH bottle.  The design is sleek and gorgeous and I love the matte finish on the outside of the bottle!

Putting the Mira Brand Gurantee to the Test:

So, when I read on the box that this bottle was guranteed to keep your beverages cold for 24 hours and your hot beverages warm for 12 hours, well I felt a challenge had been thrown my way.  So, I decided I couldn't thoroughly review this product without putting that claim to the test.

The Test:

So, I had some water that had been referigerated previously in another bottle and so I decided to pour that super cold water inside the Mira Bottle and left it out sitting around for 24 hours.

The Wait.....

So, I have so many things going on that I actually forgot to go back to my bottle for a couple of hours.  So, it was at around 27 or 28 hours that I finally went back to the water bottle and what I found was amazing.  My water was still cold.  Granted, it wasn't near as cold as it had been the previous day, but it was cold enough to quench my thirst.  I wasn't drinking warm water, it was definitely cool.  Perhaps at hour 24 it would have still been just as cold as it had been when I poured it up, but the fact that it was still cool was amazing to me!

The Warm Beverage Test:

So, to test the warm beverage 12 hour test, I brewed up a nice hot cup of joe.  I immediately poured it up in my Mira Brand bottle (This was around 11 PM at night, as I figured around 11 AM would be the perfect time to test my hot beverage out).  So, I actually went back about fifteen minutes early, but my coffee was still warm...  Not steaming hot mind you, but it was still warm!  

Test:  SUCCESS

In my opinion the Mira Brand 24 hour / 12 hour claim was successfully tested and passed with flying colors!

So, if you are looking for a bottle that is going to keep your beverages warm or cold for long extended times, this is definitely a bottle you need to look into!

PRICE:

The price of this bottle is actually a little cheaper than other bottles in the same category!  Making this not only the superior bottle in quality and design but with the competitive price it is a TKO over other bottles.

Final Thoughts:

This is an absolute gorgeous water bottle and it is also a bottle that I will not allow my children or anyone else anywhere near, this one is ALL MINE!  I am one of those who 75% of a product for me is in the "Prettiness" or packaging and design of the product and this one definitely has exceeded design and asthetic appeal as well as meets and exceeds the functional aspects!

I would definitely recommend this bottle for someone on your Christmas Buying list this year!  Just about anyone loves to have a nice water bottle to use on the go and this definitely is a pretty enough water bottle to make a great gift idea!!

Ok, so anyone who is familiar with me, knows that I am a sucker for a gorgeously packaged product and these stockings arrived in an absolutely sophisticated box.

It made it go from just getting a pair of stockings to created an "experience" receiving these!  The way a company pays attention to small details, in my mind is what truly makes a company rise to greatness and shows how they care about their products and their customers.

They could have simply thrown these packages into a brown envelope and saved themselves some time and money, but they went above the call of duty and wanted their name displayed on a package that set themselves apart.

Currently, they have three styles to choose from.  Each beautiful and special in its' own way.  These designs are great and perfect for just about any occassion you can imagine!!

I live in Alabama where the weather is extremely unpredictable.  It can be mid-December and we can experience a heat wave.  However, we do have those frosty mornings more often than not.  Especially this time of year.  One afternoon we can be relaxing outside in our tshirts and shorts and the next, find that we need to scramble to find the warmest clothing possible to keep the frost away.

My Thoughts:

These are some truly YUMMY smelling candles....  At first, I was a little taken back by the size of them...  They are tiny compared to other candles that I'm used to!  However, they seem to have a long burn to them and that's all that really matters.  They recommend that if you have a small room, to burn one candle and if you have a larger room to place candles at opposite ends of the room.

I love the packaging of these!  A lot of thought was put into the design of this and I truly can appreciate that aspect.  The packaging of these make this a great gift idea!

Winter Wonderland:

I received the Winter Wonderland Candle set...  The Winter Wonderland set included three scents:  Hot Cocoa, First Snow and Roasted Chestnut.  They smelled divine!  My favorite was the Hot Cocoa that truly did smell like hot chocolate!  I could sit and just sniff it for ages!  I could smell the hot cocoa scent as soon as I opened the package!  These are really well scented!  They have strong scents, not just a hint of a scent...

My father, actually enjoyed the Roasted Chestnut one and I wasn't that thrilled by the idea of this particular candle, but it really smelled yummy!  The first snow was very pleasant as well!  Unfortunately, I didn't get much of an opportunity to smell the First Snow, because my son snatched it before I could properly get a good "Feel" or "Smell" for it.

These would make an excellent Christmas gift for someone!  WHO doesn't love good smelling candles???  I mean, really!!  I know I personally LOVE having a nice smelling candle at ALL times!

Variety:

They have a wide range of scents to choose from.  They have Romantic, two different Christmas options, Coffee, Fresh & Clean, Man Cave...  So, whatever your scent style, there is bound to be a scent you will like!!

Ok...  So, when I saw a subscription called:  The Sassy Box, I mean I thought I was going to flip out!  I was SOOOO excited!  A box couldn't be anymore perfect for me to review, than a box named "Sassy"...  So, I contacted them and begged for the opportunity to review their box and luckily for me they agreed!!

So, I've always had a love affair with paper goods... Pens, notebooks, journals, pretty paper, etc.  I cannot tell you how much paper stuffs and pens I own...  So, I really love the idea of a monthly box in which you get surprise goodies like this!

November Theme:  Gratitude

I LOVE this...  It's so cute and absolutely PERFECT for the month of November when we are in a mindset of being Thankful...  This was the whole box's theme for the month!

These are super cute Place Cards.. I, however, don't do fancy sit down dinners and so I will likely be finding another creative use for these...  But, I love the design and colors she chose!

Love this pen!  Not only is it a super cute pen, but the top can ALSO be used as a stylus for your tablets!  Super ingenius and definitely practical!  I love when items are cute but also have a functional purpose!  Debating on whether to enjoy this myself or be nice and save it for someone for Christmas.....

An Extra Tasty Treat...

Ok, so let me just say this picture is after I had taken a bite and remembered I needed to photograph it for the blog... It didn't come eaten, I promise....

This was a tasty surprise!  A delish Oatmeal and raisin cookie!!

Overall

I love this box, not just because it carries the same name as Sassy...  But, because it truly is a unique and fun idea.  Too often we get so caught up with technology and we forget that a handwritten note can brighten someones day.  

It shows them that you have taken extra care to do something just for them!  We all should make it a practice to remember to send personal, handwritten notes to those we care about.

In this day and age where our children are no longer learning how to write in cursive, it's so important to keep the practice of handwritten notes going.  If we don't, kids are going to eventually not know how to even use handwriting skills....  It shouldn't be an "art", but an essential part of life and sadly it's becoming a lost cause....
