The PowerTek Headlamp has been one of my husband's favorite SassyHoliday's Gift Idea's items that we've received this holiday season.  With it's super bright LED bulbs, seeing in the dark is no longer an issue.  I love that this light is great for when you need light, but need free hands to be able to do something.  This light has a few different settings.

If you are ANYTHING like myself and probably a hundred thousand other Christmas Shoppers, while your intentions have been good you still have managed to forget a couple of items.  Well, I am here to SAVE the day.... So, I'm sure you've likely made the dreaded trip to Walmart at least a dozen times and battled the crowds.  While you were there, you likely were so overwhelmed by the crowds and getting in and out that you likely overlooked some fabulous gifts that Walmart has to offer!

I know that I can't wait until Christmas time and my daughter opens this little kit up and we get to polishing our nails!  I am DYING to try the gorgeous turquoise that is in my little kit!!

My Thoughts...

Well, it's a little hard to really say since I've not actually used the product.  However, I think it's a super cute thing, I've always seen little sets like this and wanted to try them!  I know it's going to be something my daughter uses quite often as she's obsessed

So, this was going to be a Christmas gift for my son.  It still is, it's just it became an "Early" birthday present instead!  However, prior to giving it to him, my husband and I took this little buggy for a spin.  

For starters, it came with everything we needed to set up, which I so appreciated!  I mean, I detest when I get home or Christmas morning comes and OOPS let's do the "battery scramble".  So, that's a huge BONUS points for me.  So, anyway, it was really simple, I popped the batteries into the charging pack and then hooked it to the Car to charge (The car has to be off in order to operate).  I'd say we waited about 45 minutes before we even looked and it was fully charged and ready to go!

(It also includes a USB charger that can be used in the place of the battery pack!)

I actually created a video, but need to put it into YouTube format so that I can add it to the post.

It was really fun and had us giggling.  It is also EXTREMELY fast.  My husband, who has had NUMEROUS RC cars in his days, kept saying "Man, this thing is fast!"  So, I'm really impressed with this!  

My son's birthday is on Dec. 15, I had to actually show it to him to make sure that giving him a "Remote Control" car was appropriate ( I mean, he's 15 so who knows!!)  He was really excited about this car and has been pleased with it!

Now, I personally, think this is a toy that's geared towards more of 10 and up because it is a bit small and so you wouldn't want a younger child whom may have a tendency to throw or not take care of their toys to get it and break it.

I guess, it's the speed and the tricks and stuff that this car does that makes me feel it's better suited towards older kids.  I'm sure it basically depends on the child and their maturity, etc.  I mean, any age child can enjoy it, but probably kids a bit older will appreciate everything this little car will do!

So, if you are a twenty-something or have a daughter over the age of seven, chances are pretty huge that you have heard of One Direction.  One Direction burst on the US scene after having taken the UK by storm after their huge win on X Factor (The UK version).  These five guys, who prior to X-Factor UK had never met, were formed by Simon Cowell (whom let's all face it, KNOWS how to form fabulous groups) and have become the boy band of the present generation.  They are to my daughter what New Kids on the Block was to me.

So, I feel like a grown person now.  Officially.  How much more grown and adult is owning your own fabric steamer????  I absolutely love this steamer!!

What It Is:

This is a fabric steamer, used for your clothes or your furniture!  

Just The Facts:

• Includes a 51" removable pole
• Fabric Brush Attachment PLUS a Crease Clip
• It's easy set-up!
• Is on roller's making it easy to move around!
• Has a 40 oz removable water tank for easy filling

Setting Up the Steamer:

Setting up the steamer seemed so intimidating in the beginning!  Truly, I was like OH MY GOSH, how in the world am I going to ever get this thing together.  The only things that really had me scratching my head was the Crease Clip, I kept looking for where to stick it onto the steamer.  However, after only about 20 minutes I realized that it wasn't actually meant to be a permenant fixture on the steamer, but was an attachment instead.

If you don't count the time I spent in confusion over the little clip, it only took about ten minutes to set up!  It was really simple and straight forward.

The directions include Dummy Pictures, for folks like me who don't respond well to written directions, but instead perform better with picture demonstrations.

Steamed Up:

So, I really am pleased with my steamer.  It's perfect for what I needed it for, I needed a good steamer to clean my sofa, etc.  This is perfect for just that purpose.  It helps to steam your fabric furniture at least I would think every 6 months or at minimum every year! 

For myself, I have to steam more often than that because I am GOD forbid a smoker...

It's my one bad habit, don't drink don't do anything else, but I do smoke cigarettes.  Trying to switch over to the Nuvo.

This Epica Fabric Steamer is HUGE!  It's pretty tall, although it is quite slim and so it can easily slide into a small space for storage.  And the pole is removable and so you could actually take it apart if you needed to for more storage ideas!

So, overall this is a great purchase.  Whether you are looking for a steamer for your clothes or for your furniture, this is a great steamer.  This would make a great item to have for holiday preperations!

The holidays are upon us.  Like every year, it seems like ages until Christmas will arrive.  Then, one morning we wake up and realize we only have 31 days left until the big, jolly guy in the Red Suit comes making his way down chimney's all across the world.

If you're anything like me, you have left a million things unfinished and it all comes barreling towards you so fast you can't keep up.

I actually rushed this weekend to get ahead of the Holiday Decorating frenzy, I kept having nightmares that I was going to wake up and Christmas morning would be here and I would have forgotten to put up my own Christmas decorations and buy my own children Christmas presents while working on the blog....

One of the things that we often times forget about are the batteries.  How many times have you woke up on Christmas morning and your child goes to open a present and pulls out that awesome new remote control car (Batteries not included) and you realize, OH MY GOSH I forgot the batteries!!

This battery charger, is an awesome way to get you prepared for all those toys that come needing to be powered by batteries.  It can charge AA or AAA batteries, it also doesn't take very long to charge.  PLEASE NOTE: The batteries are NOT included with this charger, I purchased the batteries seperately!

I am really pleased with this charger, it only took around 2 hours, maybe a little longer to fully charge my AA batteries.  And, while the batteries weren't included, for 8 1000 mah batteries, I only paid a little over $10!  For batteries that I'll be able to use over and over and over again, that price is insane!

So, at Christmas time, if you are like me, you have tons of decor that requires dim lighting.  Your average light bulb is going to put off far too much light to really set the right tone.

With these incandescent bulbs, they put off just the right amount of light to truly create a nice setting.  I have a light that hangs on my headboard, and my husband used to couldn't stand for me to use it.  However, when I put this bulb in it, it's the perfect amount of light for a "night light".  It is bright enough to allow me to read in bed, but dim enough to allow him to go to sleep.
