October Unboxed....

The thing I LOVE about Love with Food, is it truly does expand my horizons food wise.  I am such a picky eater....  I almost have an aversion to health food...  If I know it is "Good For Me", I'm likely to NOT like it!!  However, since I've joined Love with Food, I've discovered that healthy eating doesn't mean gross eating...  It can really be tasty! Now, I don't love everything..  There are some items where I'm like uh... Not for me....

Claire's Squares:

ClairesSquares: Butter ShortbreadThis was a really YUMMY treat!  We added another of the October LWF items on top (the Justin's Chocolate Almond Butter) and it really was delish!!!

NutryVitta:  Cinnamon & Sugar Banana Bar

NutryVittaThis was one of those, um... not for me moments...  This just wasn't my cup of tea so to speak...  I just didn't really like the flavor....

Surf Sweets:  Organic Jelly Beans

Surf Sweets Jelly Beans Surf Sweets on Twitter

I, personally am not a Jelly Bean person...  However, Callie seemed to enjoy these.  I prefer like Gummy Bears or something.. I was really stoked until I saw these were Jelly Beans.. Oh well, you can't win them all...

Justin's Almond ButterJustin's Almond Butter: Chocolate & Honey

These were probably my favorite item in the whole box.  They really were delicious.  I had never tried Almond Butter before and found that it really has a nice texture and flavor!

This was one of the I LOVE MY LOVE WITH FOOD box moments!  These are what having this sub is all about, finding a new item that you will cherish and stalk after....

J & M Cheese Straws

These aren't my favs...  I love cheese bits but these just really aren't for me.  I'm sure most subscribers LOVED them....  Just not me....

Famous Falafel Chips

 Famous Brands:  Organic Falafel Chips

These were another tasty addition to the October box that I was truly pleased with!  They are so flavorful!  They have a spicy kick to them!  I've never had "Falafal" anything, but I definitely will be looking for "Falafal" now!!

Snapea Crisps by Calbee:

I had previously received a bag of these from Swaggable and I have to say they are not tasty to me.  I just don't get the big deal behind these.  However, I have many friends who seem to truly enjoy them...

See, there is me and my picky eating habits giving me a headache!!!  I am sure that it's just because of my pickiness that I don't like them....

Overall:

True, this box was hit and miss for me.  But, I still found three items that I really and truly LOVED!  That's what it's all about to me.  It's about discovering new tasty snacks that you might never have had the opportunity to try otherwise.  It was through Love with Food that I discovered, Madyson's Marshmallows!!

You probably aren't going to like EVERYTHING you get in this box if you subscribe, but I truly do recommend getting it if you love snacking and want to try to find some healthy alternatives!  Our family is NOT health crazy, but we have loved these boxes and always have a few items that we just fall in love with each month!  Last month it was the Cinnamon Popcorn that LWF distributed... Sad thing is I can't find them on their site and I truly did LOVE that popcorn!!

Gift Idea:

This would make an AWESOME gift idea for someone you love!  You can save money and purchase a year subscription and it can be the gift that keeps on giving all year long!

Lip Factory: October Unboxing Review

Lip Factory: October Unboxing
October:  Breast Cancer Awareness

Unboxing Lip Factory:

What it is:

Lip Factory is a monthly BEAUTY subscription service.  The cost is:  $22/ monthly.  They send 5-7 FULL sized items each month.  Their focus is on the lip, but they only have an ALL LIP box quarterly.  So, every four months they have a box solely dedicated to the PUCKER....

Purchase your own Lip Factory!!
Please USE my referral code:  387068

UNBOXED:

So, this is always one of my favorite subscriptions since I joined.  I'm rarely disappointed with the items that I get.  It has truly been on of the subscription services that has introduced me to "New" brands I've not heard of...

deVine Lip Shimmer:  RV $8.95

Lip Factory: deVine Lip Shimmer

So, this isn't new to me, ONLY because I received ONE deVine lippy in my October Lip Monthly.  So, it was a nice surprise to get this and actually receive TWO!

My deVine from Lip Monthly was also in another shade!!!  So, I now have THREE shades of this!  Hope I like it!!!

Overall, this is a great item to have during these harsh winter motnhs!  My lips should be GOOD on some lip balm!  I think I'm set!

Frost Lipstick & Lip Gloss:

MIA (Missing In Action!!!)

This product was missing from my bag.  After further investigation, it seems that Frost did not deliver all of the products that Lip Factory had ordered (We did receive the BAG that Lip Factory had ordered)  I have seen SOME with the Frost Lippy, however I was not one of the fortunate ones, I believe that they will be shipping this seperately!

Michael Marcus Lipstick: RV:  $24

 LEE:

So, I GUESS that I got the shade:  Lee...  That's the only thing I can figure since that was on the lippy!

I really love this color!  It's a beautiful color for fall!  I don't like deep, dark colors.  I'm so pale that it just doesn't look right on me!

So, REALLY happy with this lippy!  And at $24 this lipstick pays for my whole bag!!

Frost Makeup Bag:  $10.99

So, FROST those people who didn't send ALL the lippy's that they were supposed to DID in fact send our makeup bags.  I LOVE bags and so I am really happy with this item!!  I just wish the folks at Frost would have sent my dang LIPPY!!!!

Ofra Eyeliner (AGAIN)$13 (Shade:  Grapeful??)

Ok, so this one confuses the HECK out of me.  It doesn't look purple at ALL and the word GRAPE implies PURPLE.....  So, I don't know!  Perhaps it's just me....  I've received so many OFRA products and so I'm really kinda OFRA it by now....  HAHAHA yes I know I'm not funny...

 MYSTERY ITEM: 29

RETAIL VALUE: NO CLUE

Ok, so I've tried to do a TAD bit of investigating and I still cannot confirm what brand this is.  The shade is: Ripe Rose and it's a really lovely color!  So, I'm really happy with it!

OVERALL THOUGHTS:

Well, it seems something generally speaking seems to happen with our products each month.  I guess though, it's a good thing that they are waiting to the last minute to get our items so that they can stay on top of the trends and such, but it can get a tad bit aggrevating.  However, this is a subscription I'll be really sad to lose.  I might have to chunk it, afterall Christmas IS coming up and I do have two kids who would like some expensive items !!

 I love my stuff though!

TeChef 12" Color Frying Pan: Review

TeChef ColorSeries 12" Frying Pan:

What it Is:

TeChef Frying Pan
A Frying Pan in an EXTRA large size!  12" of cooking space, this pan is enough for you to fry up your FAV foods!

Coated in Teflon: Non-Stick, making it a breeze to clean up!

Offering four color options:
  • Aubergine (A Beautiful Purple color)
  • Olive
  • Lavender Blue
  • Black
The colors that TeChef have are so gorgeous and bold and they have a variety of options to gurantee that your kitchen is looking extra lovely!

My Thoughts:

TeChef Olive 12" nonstick pan
Made with Teflon
I absolutely LOVE this pan!  I'm a southern girl and so I FRY EVERYTHING!!!  So, I really needed a great pan that could handle the bulk of my food!  This pan is perfect for when I want to fry up some taters or corn for my family!

I love the Teflon NON-stick surface as well!  I tried using one of those non-stick pans that REALLY don't stick at ALL and it was HORRIBLE for frying, because NOTHING would stick, it woudln't fry up my foods right.  With this pan, it's just the right balance of "Non-Stick" and Stick...  IF that makes sense, it's not SOOOOOO non-stick that you won't be able to fry up an egg if you want, but it's perfectly just RIGHT for when you fry and then clean up it's not going to hold on to the food!  I hope that makes sense to y'all.  I know what I mean!!

It didn't come "Put Together", but with a simple screw driver (I recommend using a manual one, NOT an electric one, you don't wanna strip the screw!) it took maybe two minutes to put it together and I was GOOD to GO!!

Underside of TeChef
The Bottom is Made for EVEN heat distribution!

 Your Thoughts..

What do you guys think about my pan, or "Skillet"?  What brand do you currently use for cooking??

Just About ME....

Nothing Special....

So, I started out blogging back in May...  Yet, the past couple of months it's become more of a job instead a labor of love.  Sometimes you get so caught up in doing stuff you just kinda forget to sit back and enjoy it all.

I'm sure anyone who spends any time with me online knows that I've had some real personal struggles to overcome through the years.  I've definitely got what's known as an addictive personality.  So, whenever I start a new "thing", I really am all gung ho about it until one day it just fades away or I just stop...  I get burnt out...

CASE IN POINT:  Painting...

Last year I was obsessed with painting!  That's ALL I did, I probably accumlated about $1000 worth of painting supplies in about a six month time frame.  My family would laugh at me huddled on my coach sitting and painting little figurines...  I painted a beautiful plate for Christmas, I mean I loved putting the little detailing, all of it...  Then one day, I looked at my paint and it just made me tired.  It had become such a chore to clean off a spot and then once I got all my supplies gathered up, I was usually too tired to do anything else.

Balance:

That's what I have a really hard time with.  I struggle so much with getting so focused on one thing that everything else gets neglected.  I don't even hardly cook anymore.  I wake up and I'm checking my emails...  I'm networking online...  I'm sending out emails, I'm opening packages, I'm doing videos....  I get so absorbed in what I'm doing sometimes I look up and it's already 8:00 and I'm like WHERE did the day go!  Seriously!

Working from home is a great thing, but it's also a curse.  Because your ALWAYS at work.  I always thought that if I worked from home, I'd not be discplined enough to actually DO WORK...  Yet, I find that's ALL I do.  Even when I'm not working my mind is racing with things I need to do or companies I need to contact... What reviews need to be done...

I need to learn how to balance.  I need to get a schedule and stick with it.  UNPLUG... Gosh, I woke up the other morning without internet, phone or TV and I was freaking out.  I thought my world had literally just come to and end!  I am so dependent upon the internet that it really does scare me about what happens if it becomes obsolete.

Your Thoughts:

How do you balance your life?  I really need to find good ways of balancing my life.  Do you ever get obsessed with one thing and then one day find your just burnt out??

Well IF you have made it this far, THANKS so much for once again not falling asleep with my posts....  I really am amazed when I look at my numbers and there are actually people who come visit!  LOL

Reed & Barton Review PLUS Giveaway

Holiday Gift Guide

Reed & Barton Giveaway
Reed & Barton

Reed and Barton have been in business since 1824.  So, I'm pretty sure that means they are a reliable company.  I am amazed and overwhelmed by the beautiful gift selections that they have on their site.  They feature some fabulous pieces that would make sensational wedding gifts, as well as some special items for the mom-to-be as well.

Their items are not cheap in quality at ALL, they are well crafted items and so you can be comforted when you purchase knowing that you are investing in a long lasting item that will hold it's value over time.  These are what I would consider to be "heirloom" type items, items you will pass down for generations to come.  While, their prices can be more than what I'm personally used to spending on one item, they truly are worth their price.

Reed & Barton:  Lyndon Picture Frame

Reed & Barton: Lyndon Frame (Retail Value:  $85)

So, Reed & Barton kindly sent this frame to me to review!  So thankful for this opportunity!  Even more exciting, they are offering one lucky winner a frame just like this!  I'm so thrilled to be able to offer this to my readers!

Opening This Special Package:

From the moment I opened the massive box this arrived in, I knew that this was a super special frame.  The box alone screamed, CLASS.  I was a little jittery when I opened it, I was so excited!  I've never really been one who could afford to pay top dollar for beautiful items like this, so it was definitely a very special treat for me!
Reed & Barton: First Glance
Then, when I opened up the box, it just got better.  it was so nicely wrapped.  I have tons of pictures in this post, because I just want to convey how special this frame truly is.  This is a gift that is more than just an item, it's an experience.  Opening it up, I have to say I felt special.  Although, it was "given" to me as a product review, I still felt so honored and excited just as much as I would have if it had been a gift.

The paper that is on top in this picture, is that thin rice type paper.  A lot of care is given inside of these packages.  Within this wrapping, it was also inside a plastic bag and then encased once again in more paper...

Reed and Barton Dust Cover
It also had a dust cover over it!  With a little name card with the Reed & Barton name...

Reed & Barton: Lyndon Frame 8x10 This is a gorgeous frame.  Handsdown the most gorgeous I've ever owned.  This is a piece that you can pass down through generations.  It's silverplated.  The only ONLY little critique is that you need to be sure you have a silver polisher, as finger prints are easily seen!

Of course, that's going to be with any silver item!  I was shocked at how large this picture frame was.  I know that you can't tell just be looking at these pictures, but this is a massive frame!  One that deserves a gorgeous picture to be inset!

My Senior Pic was the Test Picture...

Wedding & Anniversary Gifts:

This would make a wonderful gift for either a wedding or anniversary.  They have so many other wedding / anniversary gifts as well.  If you are someone you know is about to get get married, I'm sure that you can register there because they also have place settings, flatware, and crystal!

If you are looking for high end gifts this is definitely a great place to look!  They also have some gorgeous Christmas ornaments as well!

Bead Detailing on Reed & Barton Lyndon FrameThe detailing on this frame is just outstanding.  The outside frame consisits of this beading..  almost indicitave of "bead board"..  That's what it kinda reminds me of!!

It's so absolutely exquisite!

Lyndon Frame: Velvet Backing
The backing is a velvet type material.

More than just Wedding Gifts:

They have a wide selection of fabulous items, way far beyond just the wedding and Anniversary gifts, although they do have a great selection of wedding gifts as well as baby gifts.  They also have gorgeous crystal items, jewelry, as well as some exquisite Christmas ornaments and some gorgeous snowglobes!  You have to visit their site:http://www.reedandbarton.com/ and checkout all their gorgeous offerings!  They truly are divine!

My Thoughts:

I absolutey loved this!  I am still so stunned and amazed that I had this opportunity!  Sometimes, being a blogger is the absolute best job in the world!  So very grateful for these experiences.  I've been lucky to try things I wouldn't have had the chance if it weren't for this blog!

Birchbox October Review

Birchbox:  October 2014 Review

Ok, so I'm not going to sit here and break this box down.  I just don't have it in me.  I am a wee bit disappointed in this box.  I don't know why, I seem to be on the "Not So Fabulous" box list, but I am! I AM really happy with my Birchbox Plus item for the month!

This is a really short review, because I did a Video Unboxing of it...  So, it really goes more into detail of what I thought about this months box.
