Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Review & Giveaway!

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques

A little about the company, from the company....

***  From the Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Website:

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques is a new and innovative approach to makeup. We use the finest, natural and certified organic plant oils and extracts, soothing flower essences, plus beautiful minerals and pigments from the earth to create the most exquisite, healthy makeup available for your skin. Combined, these opulent ingredients have exceptional skin-softening, moisturizing and anti-aging abilities that help revitalize, rejuvenate, and restore your skin's vibrant glow.

Why organic? Our skin absorbs up to 60% of what is applied to it. Most products today contain toxic chemicals, petroleum-based ingredients, artificial colors and fragrances, and harmful preservatives that are absorbed into your skin, clog the pores, and actually cause your skin to age faster! Organically grown plants have been found to contain greater amounts of vitamins, nutrients, and anti-oxidants than plants grown with pesticides. We believe your skin deserves the very best that Nature has to give. Our line of cosmetics and skin care products are purely natural and organic.  No parabens, chemicals, or unnecessary fillers are used in the creation of our products.
Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques BEAUTY HAUL

I was so thrilled when Lauren Brooke agreed to allow me to try out and review their products!  I definitely feel extremely honored to do have receied this opportunity.  One of the things that impressed me about Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques is their concern for using organic products free from toxic chemicals that a lot of us have been piling on our faces for years and didn't even know it!

FOUNDATION:

So, the first thing that really excited me was the fact that they sent me a few foundation samples.  The spokesperson I was chatting with felt that this would be a good idea so that I could find my perfect shade.  They were 100% right, because I was going to choose the Cool tone and actually, it was the Neutral No. 10 that worked best for my skintone.  Which surprised me a little, I guess I always feel like I'm paler than I am (I mean, I am pretty pale...)

The samples were kinda small, however, I can see myself getting at least a month use out of just one little pod.  The consistency is a bit thick, and it doesn't require much at all!  It really glides on really smoothly and provides extremely good coverage.  It's about what you would expect from a mousse type foundation!  The colors were really all nice, and just a shade or two off, except for the one that I finally decided was the best match for my skin tone.

Beautiful Colors

The blush I chose was Strawberry Parfait, it is GORGEOUS.  ABSOLUTELY insanely BEAUTIFUL!  The pink was insanely gorgeous!  I have a new camera I haven't quite figured out yet and somehow lost a bunch of my pics that I had taken the day I took all my pics.  But, the shade was gorgeous!!  So bright and pink.  It's a color that's buildable.  So, it doesn't start off with a POW, you can gradually build on it until you find the right brightness for you!

LIPS

I fell in love with this lip glaze.  It had a really creamy texture, and really bold color!  The color is really nice and has a bit of a shimmery sheen to it, but is not overwhelming.  The texture seems more remiscent to a lipstick rather than a "gloss".  It also had really nice "staying power".

ALL about the EYES

I was really excited to get these shadows!  Anyone who knows me, knows I am a sucker for a good white creamy shadow as my base.  Then, I am all about the purple, and plums.  I even went so far as to swap for TWO purple liners last month!  So, when I opened my package and saw these BEAUTIFUL shadows, I was so thrilled!  Words truly cannot express how beautiful these shades are.

The white cream shadow is in shade:  White Satin.  It's truly so smooth and silky feeling.  It's a buildable color, so you can choose how deep you want your color to be.  I personally, am one who likes a nice bright, deep base.  The color is really lovely and shimmery.  (There's a swatch down below)

The White Satin is a tad hard to see against my white skin LOL  It kinda matches.  I fell in love with the orchid and night violette shadow powders (also available in the Eye Duo Pressed Compacts).  The colors were so vivid!  They really had nice pigmentation, but easily controllable.  I wish that I hadn't lost the pictures from where I used the makeup!  It was really so incredibly beautiful!

Overall I was highly impressed with the cosmetics from Lauren Brooke.  They were all high quality and they offer an amazing variety of color choices.  I like that they use natural products that aren't harmful to us!
