Ralph Lauren: High End at an Affordable Price

Ralph Lauren is well known for their high quality products.  They have an established reputation as delivering high end products that are affordable to the masses.  They have quite an established slew of perfumes under their belt already and are currently reaching out and targeting a new and younger audience with quite a few new scents.

One of the newest fragrances in the Ralph Lauren perfume arsenal is Tender Romance.  The Ralph Lauren site says of Tender Romance:  " This women's fragrance celebrates the sweet and gentle moments of falling in love for the first time with a delicate blend of fresh ginger, white magnolia, and soft cashmere."

I was fortunate to get the opportunity to try the Ralph Lauren Tender Romance perfume first hand, thanks to Ralph Lauren & Influenster.  I was delighted with the opportunity.

I was a little nervous about trying a new perfume for review purposes, because a lot of perfumes tend to be way overpowering and some make me instantly regret putting them on because of how overwhelming they can be.  However, I was worried for nothing.

I am absolutely obsessed with this scent.  It's a super gentle scent that's not overpowering in the slightest.  It is a gorgeous melody that has a light and floral aroma.  I've had numerous compliments when I'm out and about after having put Tender Romance on.

I definitely would give Tender Romance by Ralph Lauren a 5/5 stars for it's amazing scent and high quality.  If you love a light and floral scent, definitely try this one out next time at your nearest perfume counter!!

So, I've never personally done gel nails prior to this...  So, I was thrilled to get this opportunity.  Unfortunately, I haven't had a WHOLE lot of time to play around with it, because when it arrived and I went to actually use it to test it out, it came with a damaged bulb...  So, I had to wait around for about a week for a replacement to come....

I also, was without the requisite nail polish to use such a device...  This is a specifically for Gel Nails and MAN are there so many choices it will make your head spin!!  I will say this, they WERE pretty fast in responding to my request, within two days they had gotten back to me and issued my replacement!  I actually had a blogger friend who went and purchased me some gel nails stuff and shipped them to me, so that I could actually test this out!!

My Experience:

Ok, so I've never done GEL or UV nails prior to this and so it's really hard to review an item when I know not what it's supposed to do...  I don't know if I didn't do something right as far as applying the polish, but it took forever for my nails to dry!  I mean like FOREVER at least an hour!  And I'm an impatient person who is BUSY 24/7, I literally have to be doing something CONSTANTLY!  So, I didn't have the patience to give it another go!

I think though, that I didn't have the right tools needed to make this lamp work at it's fullest capacity.  I really think that it would be a good lamp for someone who isn't completely ignorant to such things...

I am a girl who just in the past six months started to really learn about beauty products and nail products, so I'm still learning here...  

OVERALL:

I think this is a nice lamp for the price...  It's like $19.99 at the present time and that's not a bad price when comparing other lamps!  It also is great for those who want to explore UV Gel nails!  The customer service was really good and so I feel safe in saying that this is a product that if you are looking for something like this, you should give it a try!  

I think it would make a great gift for a teenage girl or a woman who loves her beauty products!  It's definitely a unique gift idea!!

Abundant Harvest is a conversational board game.  They have two types, one for Teens & Adults and one for "kids".  It's a board game that brings families together and helps with decision making.  It "creates" teachable moments for parents and their teens/ or kids...

Ok, so I really wanted to do this review.  You know some of my favorite memories growing up were of "family nights", night when we would get out the cards or games and sit together as a family and have game night.  It wasn't just us playing games, it was us spending time together as a family and laughing and having fun.  We were interacting, we did so much more than just play games..  It forced us to have to talk to each other.  Something this generation that's growing up lacks.

In a world that has gone digital and is all about technology, a lot of families are missing the core foundation that families are built on:  Communication.  I love this game, because it opens up the table for discussions.  And discussions that we seriuosly need to be having with our children. 

Principal Stands:  Trust, Patience, Loyalty, Service, Courage, Honesty, Love, Work

The Game Pieces:

So, when you open your game, you will find:

• Game Board
• Principle Cards 
• Principle Stands (The game pieces:  Has stickers to affix to the stands)
• 1 dice / die
• Scenario Cards:  5 Different Categories
• Harvest Time Reward Cards

The Principles Card

So, each player picks a "Principle Stand".  Things like:  Loyalty, service, work, love, patience, courage and honesty...  (See above pic.)  Each player also recieves a "Principle" card, these cards are to be used throughout the game when making "choices" based on the scenarios that are picked. 

Scenario Cards:

Next, you have your "Scenario" cards which come in five different categories...  When a player lands on a space they choose the "corresponding" Scenario card and read what it says and they have appx. 30 seconds to answer with one of the "Principles" from the aforementioned Principle card.  This is the "meat" of the game...  And these questions are "REAL LIFE" questions...  One even begs the question, your 16 and find out your pregnant... What do you do?  These are unfortunately, part of the life we lead..  Mistakes happen, and it's how we respond in real life to these scenarios.  This game gets you talking about these things and it's always best to be prepared and know how you would respond BEFORE a "Crisis" comes up.  It really helps to enstill values I think!  It makes you think about things and talk about things you might not otherwise think to talk about!

 There is an "accountant" and this person administeres the "Harvest Time Rewards" as well as ensure that the rules are being followed.  During the game the "accountant" uses their discrection on whether to extend the "Advice Time"....  This is where the game really is able to get a good "open discussion" going.  

During advice time, this is when after a player has chosen how they would respond in a situation, people can say what they would have done and "Critiques" or maybe a better word is "this might be a better way to handle that situation", type of thing....

 In Conclusion:

I really and truly love this game.  As a Christian, I feel it's important to teach our kids values and have open discussions and this game definitely fosters an environment that's safe for our kids to freely express themselves and opens up an environment to disucss important issues with our kids and to help teach them to make good choices.

When my kids and I played this game the other day...  I truly think that they were amazed at how much they had enjoyed this game!  It got us all to talking about things and laughing and cutting up.  It was so nice to have some family time and to hear how they would do things in certain situations.  It made me realize that despite the fact that they are normal kids, I have been able to raise them with some morals and values.  It can be so hard nowadays with technology the way it is, they have so much they learn without our watchful eye over them, they are introduced to the adult world far too early these days!

This will be a game that will will be pulling out quite frequently!!  I am going to make it at the LEAST a monthly routine!

What it is....

100% Rosehip seed oil.  There are many uses to Rosehip oil, as I learned when doing another product review...  

Some of the benefits that I've discovered about Rosehip Oil:

• Can reduce the appearance of scarring
• Help with rough and dry skin
• Aides in diminishing the signs of stretchmarks
• Penetrates the skin to provide Nourishments
• Promotes healthier Hair and Nails

My Thoughts:

I have seeen some improvements when using Rosehip oil to my own scars.  I had one really horrendous scar that I thought would never go away, and yet after using rosehip oil I truly did start to notice the scarring while not COMPLETELY gone, it has truly faded. I can now wear a concealer and can cover it up without anyone being the wiser that it's there!

I have also used it on some older stretchmarks and I really can't honestly tell much of a difference there, but that doesn't say much...  These are places that have already really started fading away on their own.  I "bloomed" quite young and so I developed stretch marks at a young age and thankfully they truly are just barely there now.

The Dr. Song rosehip oil, doesn't really have much of a scent at all.  So, that's a good thing for most people.  Most people prefer to have skincare that doesn't have a scent with it.  I guess some people may be sensitive to that type of thing. 

I have been using it on my hails and they appear to be a bit stronger and shinier.  I also have really rough patches and I can tell a HUGE difference when I use Rosehip Oil on the dry spots!  It isn't a "permenant" thing, but it is a temporary solution, at least for me!!

In Conclusion:

Rosehip Oil, from what I've seen truly does have some benefits.  If you suffer from dry skin problems, or have some scarring it's something I really do recommend you looking into.  I promise, I really had this scar on my face that diminished quite a good bit after using Rosehip oil!  I wish I had done before and after pics, but I was so ashamed of this scar that I didn't want a camera ANYWHERE near my face!  

I don't think that there's any one cream or serum that is a "Miracle" serum that's going to absolutely rid you of your scars or stretchmarks, but there are products that can help when used as directed.

As with most products, you need a full system and do it daily on a regular basis to see the benefits start to emerge.  Nothing is going to work if you don't put the work in to make it work!  My son who has been suffering from acne, was going on a date not long ago and came to me the night before and THEN wanted to start a treatment and he wanted it to all disappear OVERNIGHT...  Uh... Nope... Sorry, doesn't work like that. LOL  Now, had he been listening to me, and taken my advice a month ago, it probably would be under control and not quite so ummm HORRIBLE right now, but when your young if you can't see immediate effects or an immediate reaction you just want to give up.

What they are......

They are primarily used for people who either do weight lifting or have to lift heavy objects quite often.  It provides additional support for these functions.  So, they are really good for people who are having to move heavy furniture or who are truly acrive physically and lift weights, etc.

My mother also who has some wrist issues wore it at night to help protect her wrists while sleeping.  She really enjoyed it.

My Thoughts...

For starters, when you get your wrist bands, they come in a nice little carryng case that you can use to transport to the gym or wherever, so that's really a nice feature!  I like that they thought about people needing a place to stuff them.  

You ALSO get free MP3 downloads for some "work-out" music.  I downloaded my music right away and it truly would be good for those who need some good background music!  A really nice bonus feature that they didn't have to give to their customers.

The Wristbands themselves....

So, I am definitely not an expert on this type of thing...  However, it doesn't take an expert to see that these are truly well crafted straps.  They are made of quality materials and were quite easy to put on and take off.  They are adjustable, so they will fit wrists of all sizes.  I have quite a small wrist and they fit me fine as well as my mom who has a tad of a larger wrist size.  So, they truly are "One size fits all".

They also are really comfrotable.  I really was shocked when I put them on at how cozy they felt and how they just "felt right".  Now, as far any weight lifting....  Um I didn't do any so I can't honestly tell you from that persepective.  My husband did try them and he uses straps for lifting and stuff and he was quite pleased by the quality of the strpas themselves.  And, he can be quite picky about that kind of thing!

Overall:

I was really pretty impressed with the quality of these wristbands.  The materail was high quality and it seems as if they will last a long time!  Saving money in the long run!  And $15 seems like a pretty good price for the quality of the wristbands, plus the bonus of getting some neat workout music!  I definitely give these a Five Star rating!

My Thoughts:

I honestly was a little leary to jump in and use this.  But, let's be honest here.  My face already closely resembles that of a poorly constructed road that has been destroyed by huge dump trucks leaving massive pot holes in it's wake...  SOOOO I figured, it can't get any worse....

I'm glad I used it.  I'm going to be super honest here...  When I used this, I decided to go for one side of my face.  My left side got all the needles and the right side... got none.  The places that I used the derma roller were soooo incredibly soft after using it!  SERIOUSLY, no joke.

What I liked:

Ok, the thing that I like about this...  So, all these expensive creams and serums are only as good if they truly penetrate your skin.  THIS derma roller creates tiny (Invisible to the naked eye) little holes and so once you use the roller (AFTER you thoroughly clean your face!!) you use your skincare products and they work better, because they are actually able to penetrate your skin!  Since I've been using the derma roller in conjuction with the other skincare items, I can see a huge difference in my skin.  I haven't been using it anywhere else, but I do need to try.  It's supposed to work, I believe for like cellulite, which I don't care HOW skinny you are when you reach a certain ahem age...  You develop these nice little holes in your booty and your thighs.. So NOT pretty....  All these little things seem to be trying to remind us how NOT YOUNG we are...  It's like OK MOTHER NATURE, I get it!!  I'm old! 

Anyway this really is a neat tool to have in your anti-aging arsenal of tools.  It's going to of course, I believe, work better when using it on a regular basis with the right skincare products for you.

Ok, so I have to say that I kept putting this review off, because I was so freaking out that I didn't have a man around who could install it for me and so I was very hesitant and trepidation kicked in.  However, I have to say it was so much more simple than I had imagined it to be!

I had two fifteen year old boys' who installed it for me!  See, kids ARE good for osmething!  My son and his friend put this door up in about FIVE minutes on Sunday!  Seriously!  All you do, it comes with a roll of velcro tape and you tape it to your door frame, or in my case it was a bit taller than my door and so I had to tape it a little above my door.  The sides though we were able or THEY were able to stick to the frame, I didn't put tape on one side just because when I went to close it I wanted to be able to pull the screen door up over my regular door so it wouldn't have issues closing.

That being said, I live in a manufactured home, so our doors are much shorter than the average "built home" door would be.  It still works really well.  It has this magnetic strip down the center of it and you walk through it and when you let go it automatically closes because of the magnets!  It's really an awesome alternative to a screen door!

I am really happy to have it around Fall time, I think this can save us on our electricity bills, to keep us from having to run the air conditioner so much we can just keep our front door open, yet not have to worry about mosquitos or other creep crawly's coming in!  This really is a great product, especially if you like to have an inside / outside lifestyle.  IF you are barbecueing or whatever and need to go in and out, this truly is a novel idea.  Why can't I ever think of something ingenius like this?  This is one of those products where your like, it's so simple yet it's so perfect!

I definitely give this a five star.  Just make certain that you measure first before you purchase, so if it's not quite big enough you save yourself from having to make a return.  In my case it was a little large, but it still works just fine for our family!

This has to be one of my absolute favorite items that I've had the pleasure to review!  It's so adorable and truly is functional!  I only wish that we had been able to pick our colors.  I would love to have had purple.  Of course, I didn't get to KEEP mine....  My child decided that SHE deserved it.  LOL. Which, I guess I get enough toys...  So, she can keep just this one.....

So SUPER cute! and industrious.

Oh my goodness!  This is the cutest cell phone holder EVER!  I wish that I had one in every color!  I was able to use it to hang from the towel hook in the bathroom so that I could use my phone to play music, but not have to worry about it getting wet!  It truly is well made.

Don't be fooled by it's "cuteness".  It IS a functional product!  You can hang it on your rearview mirrior I'm or somewhere in your car.  The good thing about it, is that it's not encumbered, so if you did hang it somewhere and need to make a phone call, you could just grab it and not even have to take the siliguy off the phone!  It's very usable even inside the little man's arms!  I think that this would be a PERFECT gift for kids or adults of all ages!

My 13 year old daughter LOVES it!  She really does!  And she doesn't like much of ANYTHING these days!  So, that really does say alot.  If it has her stamp of approval, you know it's cool.  And it has the "mommy" stamp, so you know it's functional!  Of course, I tend to like cutesy things anyway too...
