Hobby Racer: Mini Buggy A SassyHolidays Gift Idea

Mini Remote Control Car for Kids

Hobby Racer: Mini Buggy

Just The Facts:

• Stunt Capabilities
• Speeds up to 15 mph
• Battery Life: 15 minutes (About 30 minutes to charge)
• A Switch for Altering Steering
• 2.4 GHz technology (Ability to race against 100 other cars)
• Batteries Included
• Battery Pack Charger PLUS a USB charger!

Out of The Box:

So, this was going to be a Christmas gift for my son.  It still is, it's just it became an "Early" birthday present instead!  However, prior to giving it to him, my husband and I took this little buggy for a spin.

For starters, it came with everything we needed to set up, which I so appreciated!  I mean, I detest when I get home or Christmas morning comes and OOPS let's do the "battery scramble".  So, that's a huge BONUS points for me.  So, anyway, it was really simple, I popped the batteries into the charging pack and then hooked it to the Car to charge (The car has to be off in order to operate).  I'd say we waited about 45 minutes before we even looked and it was fully charged and ready to go!

(It also includes a USB charger that can be used in the place of the battery pack!)

I actually created a video, but need to put it into YouTube format so that I can add it to the post.

It was really fun and had us giggling.  It is also EXTREMELY fast.  My husband, who has had NUMEROUS RC cars in his days, kept saying "Man, this thing is fast!"  So, I'm really impressed with this!

My son's birthday is on Dec. 15, I had to actually show it to him to make sure that giving him a "Remote Control" car was appropriate ( I mean, he's 15 so who knows!!)  He was really excited about this car and has been pleased with it!

Now, I personally, think this is a toy that's geared towards more of 10 and up because it is a bit small and so you wouldn't want a younger child whom may have a tendency to throw or not take care of their toys to get it and break it.

I guess, it's the speed and the tricks and stuff that this car does that makes me feel it's better suited towards older kids.  I'm sure it basically depends on the child and their maturity, etc.  I mean, any age child can enjoy it, but probably kids a bit older will appreciate everything this little car will do!

Dino T-Rex Room Guard Plus Slide Show

What it is:

This is a motion activated Dinosaur that makes Roaring noises when it senses movement.  It also doubles as a Prehistoric Slide Show, with three slides included.

My Thoughts...

I really am in love with this little DINO!  I got this with my 5 year old nephew in mind.  While he LOVES race cars, I'm almost certain he's gonna flip out when he unwraps this Prehistoric toy.

Batteries NOT Included...

Just FYI this Dino DOES NOT include batteries. So, if you purchase please make sure to have some AA batteries on hand so that your kid isn't a little upset when he opens his toy only to discover he's gotta wait until mom runs to the store.....

The batteries go inside the Dino's belly in this well hidden little nook.  It's super easy to open, just get you a little screwdriver pop in some AA batteries and you are SET...

WARNING:  Will immediately start to ROAR...  See the orange button in the above photo?? Simply press that button and your Dino will quieten down...

Slides...

One of the coolest features of this Dino are the slides that come with it.

The dino comes ready to go with three Prehistoric Dino slides featuring an array of dinosaurs...

Girls or boys will love having their very own Preshistoric theatre right in the comfort of their bedroom!!

Slide Storage:

One of the neat things about this is how they have really thought things out and placed a storage area for the slides.  I don't know how many times as a kid I'd have toys that had little pieces and couldn't ever find the little pieces when it was time to play.

With this storage area, it's easy for your child to stow away their slides for the next Prehistoric Dino Show.  Their friends will seriously be envious of this cool  Dinosaur that can act as a motion sensor and alert your child to intruders who are invading their personal space to a super cool slide show for all of their friends to enjoy.

Lights, Camera, DINOS.....

Now it's time to start the show.  Turn the lights off, Throw in a slide and sit back and watch Dinosaurs invade your room....

With the control of the Dino's RIGHT arm, you can adjust the focus of the Dino Show.  You also can control how big or small a picture you get depending on how close or how far away you put the Dino!!   This truly is a fun toy that kids of all ages (Even kids 30 and older) can enjoy!!!

Put this on your Christmas BUY list !!!  It's definitely a toy that will make you or Santa look awesome!

Sit Back and ENJOY the show.....

Great Gift Idea

This truly does make a sensational gift idea for the little guy or gal on your Christmas buying list.  Add this super fun dino to your list today!!

• Tweens: Ages 5-12
• Teens:  Ages 13 and up

Then...  You choose which plan you want...

• Regular Box:  $20/ monthly (Girls receive 4-6 items monthly)
• Graphic Tee Box:  $30/ monthly ( Same as the Regular box, but with an added bonus of a motivational T-Shirt!)

UnBoxing iBbeautiful:

Ok... If you ever read my reviews, you've probably heard me talk about my daughter who is 13 and at the age in which I'd like to pull my hair out one by one...  She is at an age where even if she LOVES something, if she even THINKS that it's something I would like she despises it...

So, finding items for her has NEVER been an issue for me EVER...  Now, I find myself not being able to win no matter what I do... So, I was really thrilled when I saw this service on another blogger's site and jumped at the chance to try it out and see if I could get QUEEN of I DON'T LIKE to actually like something...

It worked.  I believe that I received the Tweens box, I'm not 100% on that, but the size of the T-shirt seems to be really small and so that's what I'm thinking!

Tattoo Choker:  $3.50

This is a cute item...  definitely geared towards kids, but my 13 year old LOVED it!

Pink House Suede Buckle Bracelet: $15

Ok, so....  I couldn't figure out what this was.. LOL I knew it was cute, but Callie was the one who called it...  She knew it was a bracelet....  Shows how unhip I am...

This is super soft !!  LOVE it, so did my daughter!!

Two's Company Ugg Lip Gloss: $7

I didn't realize what this was at first, it has a little chain on it, so I thought it was just a cute keychain, but when I realized that it was a lip gloss, it made me love it THAT much more!

My Daughter LOVED it... And I have to say that she's so hard to please the fact that she loves this box and everything inside of it, SPEAKS VOLUMES!  NO JOKE...  I can't make her happy to save my life.

Curly Eraser Pencil:  $1

This was a cute little addition!  I love little trinkets like this and so do little girls.. Something about females and cutesy stuff...

Flappy Mittens:  $14$

Ok, this was probably handsdown my daughter's favorite part of this whole box.  AND mine as well.  I love these!  SUCH a great item for this time of year.  I loved that this box seemed to be geared towards winter and Christmas!  It was a perfect accessory for a Winter Box!

Felt Tote:  $14

Ok, so THIS I snatched for myself... Sorry, I know that's horrible but HEY, it's mom who does all the work for these sensational items!!  LOL

This seriously is super cute!  I LOVE it!!!  It's perfect, I think for any age!  My daughter liked it as well, but she was happy with the trade-off of her keeping everything else and me getting this one itsy bitsy item!

Don't Wish, Just Be T-Shirt:  $22

This was a super cute top!  However, the size was way too small for either myself or my daughter....

But, it's a cute top and love the message it sends!!

Overall Thoughts:

I love this service.  Their whole message is about empowering young women to be proud of WHO they are.. Not wish to be someone else, but be happy in your own skin.  That's such a HUGE and important part of what is important for kids today!  They need that encouragement and message to know that being yourself is the best you that you can be!

I really recommend this service for those with daughters ages 8 and up!  This is a service that I know that young girls would get excited about!

Nancy Drew Video Game: Giveaway + Review

A SassyHolidays Gift Idea:  Teens & Kids

Nancy Drew:  Labyrinth of Lies

If you are over the age of 25, chances are you grew up reading the books of Nancy Drew and the brother books, The Hardy Boys...   Her Interactive games has now brought our favorite Girl detective to the Small Screen, on your PC....

Now your favorite childhood character is an interactive game that you and your own kids can bring to life and live the mysteries....

My Thoughts...

Ok, so this is a bit hard for me to review..... I haven't actually played this game, it was a game I got so that I could get my thirteen year old daughter OFF of the Sims and playing a more age appropriate game.

She has enjoyed playing it and I sure am glad.  While it's almost impossible to get our kids off their computers, tablets, or cell phones, we can at least provide them with educational games that will actually inspire them to use their brains...  Think....  Interactive mystery games are a great way to make this happen!!

Labyrinth of Lies is Her Interactive's latest Nancy Drew Release!  Her Interactive games can be purchased with a disk or downloaded digitally straight from the Her Interactive site, so you can have it delivered straight to your PC without leaving your home!  That makes this a super convenient purchase!

Gift Idea:

I chose this for the Gift Guide, because kids and teens alike enjoy their electronics and they enjoy their games.  This is a gift kids and teens and even adults of all ages can enjoy!

Bring Back Family Game Night with WINNING MOVES Giveaway

\

Winning-Moves

Winning Moves is a site that sells all types of board games and card games.  They sell some of your favorites as well as some new games never before played!!

Family Time

So, in today's world with technology all around us, sometimes it's easy to remember to stop and spend time together as a family.  Some of my very favorite memories are those from when we would all gather round the table and play "Skip-Bo", Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly, Life, all of those fun games!

I have to admit, that sometimes I don't take time to stop and spend time with my family because I get so busy with what I'm doing I forget to just STOP and really spend quality time with them.  So, I was really thrilled with this opportunity, it provided a great way for us to sit and really spend time together and just have fun!!

The Games:

Bunco:

A Social Dice Game.

I haven't actually had the opportunity to play this one yet!  But, I really cannot wait!  I LOVE dice games.  One of our favorite games growing up was Yahtzee and this game kinda reminds me of Yahtzee.  The rules are really easy to learn and it's a game that you can play with either 2 people or a 12!  So, it's a great party game!!

PayDay

Ok, this was one of the games that I was MOST excited to get!  I LOVE this game!  It's really fun way to teach kids the value of money and how to borrow and pay back!  If you've never played it, and you have children between the ages of 7-15, this is a great game to learn the value of a dollar!!!  Really easy game play too!!

Payday has a "Loan Record" for when you borrow money!

SplashCards: (A GREAT Stocking Stuffer!)

These are regular playing cards, but with a twist.  They are WATER approved!  So, if you have a pool or a hot tub you can take the games to the water!  They also have other types for kids to play in the bath tub!  Really great party idea if you have a body of water you "party" near or IN!!!

Monopoly Mega:  A Bigger, Better Game...

Monopoly The Mega Edition

So, last but DEFINITELY not least is Monopoly Mega.  You know how when you play Monopoly how you had to sit with your legs under you and reach across to reach the board because it was so much smaller than the table??  Not a problem anymore...  Of course, you still might have to stretch to reach the other side but the board just got a whole lot bigger.

This is like Monopoly on STEROIDS...  Every "Color" has gained a new spot.  So, there's no longer just TWO blue, there are now THREE!  It really besides making the board bigger, makes the game a little more fun!

There's even a new DICE!  You have three dice you roll as opposed to two.  There's a "Bus Pass" which if you have it can be used to "Get out of Jail FREE" or it can allow you to move to any spot on the same side of the board you are currently on!

We had a BLAST playing this game!  We've already played it a few times!  It's definitely become a "new" favorite in my house!

Great Gift Idea:

Board games make an excellent gift idea really for ANYONE!  Adults love them because that means "Family Time" and kids love them because they are fun!  Grab some board games from the folks at Winning Moves and spend some time with your kids today!!
